Later, a new bridge was constructed with the help of the Aga Khan Rural Support Programme.
In 2022, Hussaini Suspension Bridge underwent another renovation after an incident of a boy falling off the bridge and drowning in the river. After being sealed for weeks and by orders from the authorities, the old planks were replaced with new ones. The old wooden planks were quite uneven and worn-off by the time. The renovation project ensured more even, firmer and smoother planks on this suspension bridge. The security measures were also upgraded.
